Teaching & Coaching

Alongside their concert activities, Zoia Sorel and Terézia Vargová are experienced teachers and artistic coaches. Their teaching combines a high level of instrumental expertise with musical depth and a structured, supportive learning environment.

Individual Lessons

Individual lessons are available for violin, viola and cello. Each lesson is tailored to the individual musician – from dedicated beginners and advanced students to professional instrumentalists.

Key areas include sound development, technical improvement, stylistic interpretation, repertoire development, as well as building confidence for performances, auditions and other important musical situations.

Chamber Music Coaching

Astoro works with duos, trios, quartets and larger ensembles. Chamber music coaching covers interpretation, intonation and balance, rehearsal techniques, musical communication, and the development of a shared artistic concept.

Both amateur groups and professional ensembles receive guidance tailored to their individual level and goals.

Artistic Coaching

For us, artistic coaching goes beyond preparing for a particular performance, audition or examination. It is about developing a more conscious approach to your own musical path, creating clearer and more effective working processes, and learning to make artistic decisions independently.

Areas of focus may include:

  • Preparation for entrance and final examinations, auditions, competitions and concerts
  • Developing individual practice and rehearsal strategies
  • Setting goals, planning and structuring the musical working process
  • Managing performance situations, pressure and uncertainty
  • Repertoire selection and strategic preparation for important musical milestones
  • Artistic decision-making and developing an individual musical voice
  • Reflecting on strengths, challenges and the next steps in artistic development
  • Long-term artistic direction and independent working

The aim is not simply to prepare musicians for a single performance, examination or audition, but to help them work with greater clarity, independence and sustainability while continuing to develop their own artistic path.
